Hello NMRC!

We are excited to hit the water for this, NMRC’s 3rd season of rowing on Lake Leelanau and our 4th on Glen Lake! 

NMRC strives to build our membership and expand our rowing options while keeping the cost to members in check. This is no easy feat.

With limited financial resources and hard work, we have successfully built and continue to expand our fleet of boats at our two program locations. We have participated in nearby regattas and have offered flexible schedule of morning and evening coached sessions. We are still growing and adjusting.

NMRC is a member run club, which means we listen to feedback from our members and we do not commit precious club resources unchecked. Depending on member interest, there are away regattas we would love to consider. Each away regatta is an investment of participant time and money and club resources. In order to keep costs down for our membership, we chose to not roll those costs into our 2024 membership fees.

If participation in away regattas becomes an express priority for our membership, the Board wants to hear from you and begin a bigger discussion of how our membership would envision supporting more competitive endeavors.

Solon Twp Park Clean Up Success:

Big thank you to our members who helped beautify the park! It is part of our service to the community who allows us to utilize this valuable resource for our club. And we also want to thank Randy for his help with hauling the many buckets of leaves away in his tractor.

Huge Opportunity for Quads this 2024 Season:

We are at $6700 donated toward the quads! We have one already paid for. Let’s make this happen to completely fund these boats. Thank you so much to the generous donors so far. One member will be naming one of the quads!

We are asking for everyone to pitch in and donate and/or ask any local businesses you support to consider sponsorships.

Our business sponsorships page on our website explains what we offer with multiple levels of giving. There is a printable PDF to give to interested businesses.

We also have one donation available where you can name the other quad for $5000.

We also have a member who will loan us the money to secure both boats for purchase. But we will need to raise the rest of the funds as soon as possible.

Please help us fund these quads!
