Dear Members and Supporters of Northern Michigan Rowing,

We are writing to inform you that the NMRC Board has accepted the resignation of Club President and Founder, Melissa Dow.

The entire organization is deeply grateful for her service as President of Northern Michigan Rowing Club. Her vision for NMRC has inspired a love for rowing in our community. She has tirelessly given her time and resources to ensure that rowing is something that all can enjoy- regardless of age, ability, or financial status. She has laid the foundation for a club that will provide years of benefit to our surrounding community.

NMRC looks forward to building upon this solid foundation and we accept the many challenges that lie ahead. We are committed to supporting members as they row on both Glen Lake and Lake Leelanau. NMRC has experienced incredible growth this past summer, and we are committed to guiding NMRC as we work through this transition.  Our members are passionate about rowing and our committees will work collaboratively with one another as we manage the day-to-day operations, as well as the future, of our club.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us.  We look forward to seeing you on the water!

With respect,

Northern Michigan Rowing Club Board
