Hello NMRC!
Bring a friend and join us this Wednesday, April 12, from 6 - 8 pm at Solon Township Hall in Cedar for our NMRC Spring Social! We can’t wait to share details about this year’s programs, reconnect with members, and meet prospective members.
Here’s some other important information about our 2023 season:
Free Learn to Row June 4, 9:00-12:00 at Solon Township Park - This is a great way to introduce new friends to our sport! Please email row@northernmichiganrowing.club to reserve a spot.
Trial Memberships Available - Learn to Row participants are invited to purchase a 2-week trial membership for $150 of unlimited rowing. We hope you’re hooked at that point and will then join with a full membership for the rest of the season. The $150 will be applied to your full membership fee. We will also make this 2-week membership available to visiting or short term residents who have been members in the past.
Annual Membership Price Break Extended - If you missed the first cut off for a price break on membership, we have added a new window. Annual membership is $450 through April 30! Thereafter, membership for the 2023 season of unlimited rowing will be $500.
Important Member Documents on iCrew - All NMRC members MUST sign into their iCrew account and complete paperwork under the Documents tab on your iCrew Home Page prior to rowing. We need to have everyone complete this early prior to any rigging or moving of boats so everyone is covered by insurance in case of an injury. There are only 5 documents required by our new liability insurance provider. It takes about 15 minutes to read through everything and sign electronically. Because we have our liability insurance through a different provider this year, most NMRC members will NOT need a US Rowing membership in order to row with us. However, members who are coaches, coxswains and the NMRC Board will need a US Rowing membership and completion of the Safe Sport certification through US Rowing.
