Events Spotlight

Community Potluck, Sunday 7/31 4-7 pm:

All NMRC members, supporters, park neighbors, and Township Board Members are invited. Come on down to Solon Township Park for some fun and fellowship. Check out our rowing shells, visit the oar house, and get to know the neighbors. NMRC members are encouraged to bring a dish to share with other guests. For more information contact Susan O’Connor at soconnor@northwested.org and toggle to attend on iCrew so we can get a member count. Neighbor Randy is super excited to cook up some brats for us!

Boat Dedication, Sunday 7/31 6:30 pm:

We will be officially dedicating the Resolute Eight in memory of Jack Keyes, a fifth generation native of Traverse City, with a special boat renaming ceremony.

Learn to Row, Saturday 8/6 9:00 am:

Our next Learn to Row is scheduled for Saturday, August 6, from 9:00-12:30. Please reach out to any friends or family members who might be interested. Reserve your spot with Karen by emailing kdbroach@yahoo.com. We are also needing volunteers to help, so let Karen know if you are available. Learn to Rows are a great opportunity to share your knowledge and our club culture with others.

NMRC’s mission is to promote and provide recreational and competitive rowing opportunities and instruction to people of all ages, income levels, and physical abilities throughout Northern Michigan. If you or someone you know is interested in rowing but feel your income or physical ability may get in the way, please reach out to members@northernmichiganrowing.club
