Needed:

We are currently looking for winter storage for our large trailer filled with boats. If anyone has a recommendation for a storage facility, please pass on to mindy@northernmichiganrowing.club. We are hoping to crowd source an affordable option to keep our boats safe this winter.

Glen Lake News:

Solon Township News:

Prepping the oarhouse for painting is ongoing. A date for the painting will be forthcoming.

There are several open row opportunities at Solon Township this week as well! Grab a friend or two and help us fill the bigger boats! Open rows at Solon need at least 4 rowers:

Tuesday 8/23 at 5:45 pm

Thursday 8/25 at 5:45 pm

Friday 8/26 at 6:45 am

Sunday 8/28 at 7:45 am

Sign up on iCrew by clicking on the session and toggling in as Attending. You will get a confirmation email if the boat has been filled and can get out to row. We have unfortunately not been able to get many open row boats filled lately. Another option is to seek out some other rowers and try to organize a team boat. Contact Mindy or Susan to coordinate. Getting out in team boats has been successful for establishing a regular routine and a commitment to row.

Solon Twp Rowing schedule will be changing for September with the change of the season and some coaching and coxswains leaving for the season. We will have that finalized for the next newsletter.

___________

There is still lots of good rowing in September and into October. The weather may get a little more unpredictable so check your weather apps and look for an email from a coach or captain in case of a cancellation.

Thank you all for making it another successful week with Northern Michigan Rowing! Looking forward to next week.
