November 13, 2022 Newsletter

Hello NMRC Family,

Winter training (underscore WINTER) is upon us! Don’t be sad, make it fun and productive! There are options included below and if you have other ideas, please share them with us!

IMPORTANT! The 2022 Member Survey are due. Your answers are critical to our planning for next year. The survey was emailed to all club members last week. Please check your email and let Mindy know if you didn’t see it in your inbox. Thank you to the 20+ members who did already fill it out. We’ll extend the deadline to Tuesday of this week.

Work Out Options:

We had a fun first Erg and Stretch session at Solon Township Hall last Wednesday! There were 4 ergs and 4 participants with Diane Hamilton leading the workout. The crew was able to focus on form, ratio. and rate transitions.

We are doing it again this Wednesday, Nov 16 from 5:30 - 7 pm. Please come and workout together with your teammates. Bring a yoga mat or towel for stretching on the floor. Contact Mindy or Diane Hamilton (iCrew roster has contact information) with questions and to let them know if you plan on bringing an erg. We need at least 4 ergs to make it possible.

Member, Elizabeth Roth, shared that she had a great work out at a Wildfire Fitness Sandbell Class led by Amy Sparks located in the old Norris school building on M22 and Cherry Bend Rd. The class incorporated strength, agility, balance, hand/eye coordination and partner work. Coach Amy is excited to schedule a special class for NMRC. Contact Elizabeth at elizabeth@lakefamilies.com if you are interested.

Planning Sessions Begin!

Immediately after the Nov 16 Erg and Stretch at Solon Township Hall, 7pm to 8pm, NMRC will host our first planning session for 2023. All members are encouraged to attend regardless if you attend the workout session. This club is member driven and volunteer led. We will schedule out our planning sessions and priorities at this time. Please feel welcome to bring snacks and beverages of your choice. We have the hall reserved until 9pm.
